Tasuki Fighting for His Life
Day 1 (April 7, 2012)
I already noticed that there’s something wrong with Tasuki that day since he has a second floor and he was staying there I tried and told him to go down, then when he went down from his second floor and he fell, but he can still manage to walk hop, but we couldn’t bring him to Vets in Practice in Alabang since the doctors are out, so I decided to rush him to V.I.P. early morning the next day.
Day 2 (April 8, 2012)
Since we rushed Tasuki to the hospital I wasn’t able to take photos inside and I was not able to think of that during that situation, I admit I’m teary-eyed already that time cause I’m really worried about Tasuki’s health. Doc Siday Peñaranda who specializes in small and exotic animal medicine, attended to treat Tasuki. She injected dextrose solution in the vein (left ear) of Tasuki, since he hasn’t eaten yet. After that Doc Siday tried injecting Tasuki with steroids (right ear) but the vein bulged because the vein is already thin so she tried again (left ear) but it bulged again so Doc Siday ended up injecting it on Tasuki’s left paw. Also she gave him an oral med which is an antibiotic. Plus, health teaching from Doc Siday - she’s really a nice Vet. :)

Here is what I’m feeding my Tasuki since he loss his appetite (Malunggay Leaves + Kang Kong Leaves + Water + Blend them altogether = Osterized Food) Doc Siday instructed me to force feed Tasuki as of that moment wherein he could not even stand or sit on his own.
What I used in nursing Tasuki back to health. (Osterized food, Antibiotic med, 1 tuberculin syringe each for food, water and antibiotic med - I’m OC that way + it makes my life easier).
This is how Tasuki looks like when we got home from the vet.
Day 3 (April 9, 2012)
On the third day this is what Tasuki looks like, he can’t even move his body anymore but he can lift his head up and down, also he’s still alert when he’s hearing noises or when we are calling his name. Tasuki was able to defecate but still has no urine output that day. Doc Siday called and so more health teaching was told and a lot of my questions was answered.
Day 4 (April 10, 2012)
Tasuki was able to urinate on the fourth day and was able to sit on his own when I assisted him on lis litterbox. He was also able to defecate BIG TIME! (Beware: the next photo is not appealing to the eyes).
Tadaaa! This is what Tasuki’s stool looks like, I can’t even imagine on how he was able to expel this out of his body. I also just want to share that this not the normal stool of a rabbit. The normal stool of a rabbit is like a pellet gun, light brown and is hard. But it really made me happy, cause at least he was able to expel it out from his body.
Tasuki’s solid food choices (Kang Kong Leaves, Pellets, Apple slices and Dried Grass) Since Doc Siday advised to start or try feeding him with solids again. He likes munching on the Kang Kong leaves that day.
Day 5 (April 11, 2012)
This is what I did to the base of Tasuki’s house so that he won’t slip easily since he just started to hop again. He was also able to groom and munch on his poop again that day.
Day 6 (April 12, 2012)
Today, Tasuki was able to jump outside of his base and started to tour outside his house. He also started drinking from his nozzle all by himself without my assistance, but still his appetite is not that improved yet. I hope you can pray with me for the improvement of my Tasuki baby’s health.
V.I.P. Alabang has the best staff, receptionist, and veterinarians. You might want to bring your pets there for grooming and check-up. :)
btw, I’ll post the videos of his recovering stage later on.
